Privacy Policy

Effective July 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how APEX Advisory Services LLC ("APEX Advisory," "we," "us," or "our"), headquartered at Washington DC, USA, collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit apexadvisory.global, use InsightEDGE, apply for or use APEX Connect, register for an APEX event, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services"). It applies to visitors, InsightEDGE readers, APEX Connect members, event registrants, and job applicants.

This policy is drafted to reflect our current practices as a working reference. Because privacy law varies by jurisdiction and changes over time, we recommend it be reviewed by qualified counsel before being relied upon as a final, binding legal document.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what we collect automatically, and what we receive from third parties.

1.1 Information you provide directly

  • Contact and inquiry data — name, email, organization, industry, and message content when you submit the contact form or commission research.
  • APEX Connect membership data — name, email, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), job title, organization, country, bio, profile photo, goals, topics of interest, and any content you post (messages, community posts, follows).
  • Event registration data — name, email, ticket type, and any dietary, accessibility, or logistics information you choose to share with our events team.
  • Gated download data — full name, email, phone number, company, and job title when you unlock a report, policy brief, or other InsightEDGE download.
  • Newsletter signup data — name (optional) and email address.
  • Careers data — information you submit when applying to an open role, including resume/CV content if you send one to us directly.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • First-party analytics — the page path and referrer of pages you visit, recorded anonymously to power our internal analytics dashboard. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share this data with data brokers or ad networks.
  • Cookies and local storage — used for authentication, remembering your cookie consent choice, your locale preference, and (only if you accept personalization cookies) a short list of recently viewed research. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
  • Device and log data — standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) retained by our hosting infrastructure for security and troubleshooting purposes.

1.3 Information from third parties

If you sign in to APEX Connect via a third-party identity provider in the future, we may receive basic profile information (name, email) from that provider, subject to your permissions with them. We do not currently purchase data about you from data brokers.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including authenticating APEX Connect members and processing event registrations.
  • To review and process APEX Connect membership applications, including evaluating fit with our community guidelines.
  • To send transactional communications: application status updates, event confirmations and reminders, profile-change security notifications, and responses to inquiries.
  • To send marketing communications you've opted into, such as the InsightEDGE newsletter or event-specific campaigns — always with an unsubscribe option.
  • To personalize your experience (e.g., showing recently viewed research) where you've consented to personalization cookies.
  • To understand aggregate usage of our site through first-party analytics, so we can improve content and navigation.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To comply with legal obligations, including recordkeeping requirements applicable to advisory firms.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis (such as under the EU/UK GDPR), we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Consent — for personalization cookies, newsletter emails, and marketing campaigns you opt into.
  • Contract — to provide APEX Connect membership services and process event registrations you request.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure our Services, respond to inquiries, evaluate membership applications, and improve our offering, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — infrastructure hosting, email delivery, and similar vendors who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Within APEX Connect — your profile (name, title, organization, bio, photo) is visible to other approved members in the directory, consistent with the community's purpose. Direct messages are visible only to their participants.
  • Event partners — where an event is co-hosted or sponsored, attendee lists may be shared with named co-hosts for logistics purposes; this is disclosed on the relevant event page.
  • Legal and safety — where required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of APEX Advisory, our members, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes thereafter. In general: account and membership data is retained for the life of your APEX Connect account plus a reasonable period after closure; event registration data is retained for our records and reporting; inquiry and gated-download lead data is retained until you ask us to delete it or it becomes stale; first-party analytics data is retained in aggregate form and is not tied to an identified individual beyond what's necessary for near-term reporting.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not engage in either. EU/UK/EEA residents have rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@apexadvisory.global. APEX Connect members can also update or delete most profile information directly from their account settings. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

7. International Data Transfers

APEX Advisory operates across multiple jurisdictions, and information we collect may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — for such transfers.

8. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including password hashing, access controls scoped by role, and encrypted transport (HTTPS) for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The Services may link to third-party websites, including event partner sites, social media, and external registration pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact Us
